Hi, I’m Dan, and I created Perfect Companion out of a deeply personal experience. A few years ago, I went through a divorce, and like many people in that situation, I found myself feeling lonely. Most of my friends were married, busy with kids and their own lives, and suddenly I didn’t have anyone to share simple moments with—whether it was grabbing dinner, catching a movie, or just playing a round of golf.

I tried the dating apps, but they weren’t what I was looking for. I didn’t want romance or anything complicated; I just wanted genuine connection. I was tired of eating alone, going to events solo, and not having someone to share my time with. It felt isolating.

Then, when my dad passed away, I saw my mom go through her own struggles with loneliness. After 62 years of marriage, she suddenly found herself navigating life alone. Watching her go through that made me realize that this wasn’t just my experience—it was something many people go through, whether they’re divorced, busy, or just looking for companionship without any strings attached.

That’s when the idea for Perfect Companion was born. I wanted to create a place where people could connect with others, share experiences, and simply enjoy life again. It’s not about dating or relationships—it’s about creating moments of joy, finding someone to talk to, and building connections that make life better.
